Dr. Marcum has developed an established research program in unstructured grid technology for computational field simulation (CFS). This research program is an integral part of the Mississippi State University/National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center for Computational Field Simulation. Dr. Marcum has also developed the AFLR technique for tetrahedral mesh generation, a highly successful method which has been incorporated into several commercial software packages. Dr. Marcum will speak about current issues related to robust triangle and tetrahedral mesh generation.
