The IMR’s User Forum session provides a venue for presenting open-source and commercial software specializing in meshing and geometry-based calculations. Participants will be able to present/attend hands-on tutorials and demonstrations that walk through the details of using specific tools for practical problems.
The User Forum session offers a unique opportunity to sample and experience a variety of cutting edge technologies in a single exclusive venue. Held as part of the 28th IMR, admittance to the User Forum is included with your IMR registration, or a separate registration is available to attend only the User Forum session.
The 28th IMR encourages users and developers to send short one-page abstracts describing the software product they would like to present. The abstract should comment on the meshing needs the software can address, available functionality and interface, and specific use cases.
Submissions should also specify the preferred method of presenting the work. The two standard possibilities are listed below, but requests for longer presentations will also be considered:
All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the 28th IMR committee members. Accepted abstracts will be compiled in a booklet of abstracts and made available online. An organized session during the IMR conference is planned for the presenters to show their topic. There is no additional registration fee if the presenter is already registered at the IMR. The registration fee for User Forum attendees who are not registered for the IMR is $150.00. This registration fee includes participation in IMR sessions for the day of the User Forum only. Note that the presenter at the User Forum must not be the same person as the anyone already presenting an IMR research note or a regular paper. The presenter may participate in the Poster Session.
