This year the IMR conference will take place right in the center of Paris, France at “Les Cordeliers”.

Located in the heart of the "Quartier Latin", this old historical site was always dedicated to science and teaching. Built since 1234, the site was first dedicated to religious teaching during the Middle Age, and became one of the most famous think tank during the French Revolution. "Les Cordeliers" is now dedicated to medical research and teaching.


  1. Do not try to drive in Paris! There is a quite effective subwayandbusnetwork, bikessharingservice and taxis.
  2. Plenty of restaurants near by the conference center: just have a walk around and you will find a nice place where you can eat or you can also visit this website such to find the restaurant that will meet your expectations
  3. Free Internet Access in the conference room.

Les Cordeliers” is located in the LatinQuarter, near of the famous University Paris I, La Sorbonne, Notre Dame, Luxembourg Garden, Le Pantheon, …

Some hints to enjoy Paris by night around the conferences center :

  1. Mouffetard street (around Place de la Contrescarpe), Paris 5 (located behind “Le Pantheon”): a very animated street with a lot of pubs and restaurants.

  2. Saint-Sulpice district (located near by the Saint-Sulpice Church), Paris 6: once again, a very animated district to have a beer.

  3. Saint Germain-des-Près district (located around the Saint Germain des Près Church), Paris 6: also, an animated district but for a more romantic walk. You can have a stay, for lunch, dinner or even only a drink at one of the two most famous Bistros of Paris that are “Cafe de Flore” or “Les deux Magots” (both located on the Boulevard Saint Germain and neighbour on this avenue): Andre Gide, Picasso, Prévert, Hemingway, Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir and many others was frequent customers.

  4. Le Marais district (located on the other side of the Seine river): a very animated and fashion district that you can reach by walking across the river, going through the place in front of  the “Hotel de Ville” and reaching “Rue des Archives”. The “Georges Pompidou” center that is very close to this district and also animated. On the way in or back, the banks of the Seine around Ile Saint-Louis can be animated.
